Hotel Café Central honoured as a long-standing Tyrolean business 11.10.2024

At the beginning of October the Province of Tyrol honoured 22 Tyrolean companies. The award went to those businesses celebrating a milestone anniversary of at least 30 years this year, which have contributed significantly to the development of Tyrol as a business location for decades and in doing so also provide secure jobs.

The second-oldest business was the Hotel Café Central at 140 years. The Café Central, in the style of a traditional Viennese coffee house, is a much-loved meeting point in Innsbruck city centre. At the same time the hotel has made a name for itself as an established four-star hotel and is as popular with alpine-urban leisure travellers as it is with business guests. The work of the Hotel Café Central is also marked by environmental and climate protection: alongside its membership of “Klimabündnis Tirol”, the Central was the second hotel in Innsbruck to receive the “Austrian Ecolabel Green Hotel”. In parallel it is the very first hotel in Innsbruck to be certified with the “EU Ecolabel”.
